Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary

Today I left the hotel early and hopped on the MTA Light Rail. $3.55 round trip got me all the way to the Baltimore Inner Harbor. I was on a mission to find Edgar Allan Poe's grave site. It was a great walk through the University of Maryland campus. It made me jealous that I can't live there. The Poe grave was pretty cool to see and it is surrounded by a bunch of other 1800's grave sites. It was pretty amazing to think someone may look at my grave 2 centuries after I've passed. I went to a pub called the Alewife for lunch and had a fantastic Hamburger and Duck Fat Fries. They had 60+ micro brews on tap and I was in heaven. All and all not a bad little day.

Baltimore, (Hello Old Friend)

Week 1 in Baltimore is coming to a close. Work has already begun for the OAK in the Coast Guard Yards. Things so far are going remarkably smooth. We are staying at the BWI Sheraton. Its a great little hotel in the worst possible location. There is absolutly nothing worse then being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no means of transportation. Tomorrow I am going to go for a walk and see what  kind of an adventure I can find. I can't wait to get back home to my fantastic little family in Charleston. Being away sure makes a guy realize how much he cares about his family.
